Designed in the Netherlands. Made for the way American women actually dress for the cold.
Star & Bee is a womenswear label run from the Netherlands, built around one category: coats, jackets and outerwear. Our design work happens in a small studio near Utrecht, where every style starts the same way: a sketch, a stack of fabric swatches on the table, and one honest question. Would we reach for this on a cold morning?
The Dutch approach to outerwear is not complicated. It is practical, quietly considered, and built to last longer than a season. Clean lines instead of decoration. Wool, quilted shells and technical fabrics chosen because they keep you warm and hold their shape, not because they photograph well once. That is the standard we hold ourselves to, and it is why our collection stays deliberately small.
Why we sell in the United States
We built Star & Bee for the American customer from the start. Our sizing follows US measurements, our fabric weights are picked for real American winters and the way you live in your clothes, and our prices are set in US dollars with no surprises at the end.
Every order is shipped from our distribution partner in New York, so your coat travels domestically and arrives without customs paperwork, import charges, or a long wait at the border. Designed in Europe, delivered like a local brand.
How we work
- Design. Every style is developed in-house in the Netherlands, from first sketch to final fit.
- Production. We work with a small number of long-term manufacturing partners rather than switching suppliers each season, so quality stays consistent.
- Fulfillment. Stock is held at our US distribution center in New York and dispatched to you directly, with tracking on every order.
- Aftercare. A 30-day return window, a real inbox, and a human answer within one business day.
What we believe
Getting dressed for the cold should feel effortless. The best coats are the ones you reach for without thinking: the long wool coat that carries you through an ordinary Tuesday, the jacket that feels as comfortable on the school run as it looks in the photographs, the puffer you pack first for every single winter trip.
We design for women who already know who they are. Considered cuts that layer over everything you already own, warm breathable fabrics, and a timeless palette that works with the rest of your wardrobe. Nothing loud, nothing fussy. Considered, not complicated.
